TCM - Acupuncture

Acupuncture treatments for 20 years in Zurich and in the Knonaueramt

Traditional Chinese medicine, or TCM for short, is a holistic medicine. She sees the body as a unity of body and mind. Human health depends on the balance between yin and yang. Yin means the shadow side of the mountain, both feminine, below, inside and inhale. Yang as a complement means the sunny side of the mountain, masculine, above, outside and exhaling. One is dependent on the other, and too much of one causes a disease-promoting imbalance in the long run.

For acupuncture treatment, it is important to draw up a detailed anamnesis according to the four diagnostic principles of TCM, which consist of observation, questioning, palpation and auscultation.

If a person's balance is disturbed, acupuncture supports the body in restoring the balance of yin and yang and thus the unhindered flow of qi. Acupuncture activates the body's self-healing process by inserting fine needles at different depths into specifically selected points. About 360 acupuncture points with different effects are distributed on the body surface. In addition, there is the field of ear acupuncture, which is a separate system within TCM and which can be used to alleviate the symptoms of chemotherapy.

Acupuncture is also recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for many problems such as joint pain, migraines, postoperative nausea, anxiety and to reduce stress.

Results from various studies confirm the positive effect of acupuncture and Chinese herbs.

A few examples of studies can be found under the links.

Acupuncture as support when trying to have children

TCM can be used to support couples who want to have children and who have not been diagnosed with a medical problem, as well as couples who are trying to conceive with the help of reproductive medicine.

The prior treatment of endometriosis improves the chance of success of fertility treatments and helps women in the long term.

As a member of the Association for Integrative Reproductive Medicine (VIRM), I have the necessary knowledge to accompany and support these couples through the time they want to have children.

A preparation period of three months is optimal to bring the body of man and woman into the best possible starting position so that it reacts well to the treatments of reproductive medicine.

New standards in pain therapy with LASERneedle

LASERneedle is a so-called low-level laser and therefore not a surgical laser. The rays in the red and infrared range penetrate up to several centimeters into the tissue and unfold their effect there.

The laser beam cannot be felt and is therefore very pleasant during the therapy. There is no risk of skin burns. The laser light promotes the regeneration of cells, reduces inflammation, increases blood circulation and activates painkilling messenger substances in the nervous system.

What can be treated with LASERneedle:

  • Orthopedic diseases (rheumatism, osteoarthritis, etc.)
  • skin diseases (psoriasis, allergies, etc.)
  • neurological diseases (migraine, facial paresis, endometriosis etc.)
